Queensland Regional Studies was established in 1994 as a regional Queensland-wide Beauty Therapy Training College. As a vision, we are committed to training excellence providing our students with the skills and expertise in a developing industry. We offer students Beauty Therapy, Nail Technology and Make-Up Training by Correspondence and with practical workshops in Rockhampton, Maryborough, the Sunshine Coast and other areas when needed. The QRS registered courses are endorsed by the Australian National Training Authority and is a Registered Training Organization.
The courses are Cert II to Diploma level, theory by correspondance and attendance at practical workshops. Its flexible, no age barrier, start when you are ready and work module by module at your own pace through a competency based training. QRS motto is "have College will Travel", where demand is needed we try and bring the practical aspects of training to you in regional areas. QRS now also offers Full time, block and a short course programme on site at its NEW Sunshine Coast Spa Suite premises

As competency-based training packages, the beauty therapy courses cover services such as nails, manicare and pedicare, make-up, lash and brow treatments, facials, body treatments, massage and other units depending on the qualification. The practical training is supported by digital multimedia for the students' full benefit.
As Queensland Regional Studies is a statewide beauty training college, it needs resources and partners to fulfil it's vision as "have college will travel". Teresa Dudley of Direct Study Pty Ltd heads a team of regional trainers providing resources across Queensland to provide beauty therapy training for students in the region.

COURSES - All courses are from the Beauty Therapy National Training Package.
QRS - undergoes continuous improvement to offer the latest techniques and information.
Courses are competency based so you may work at your own pace.
Much of the theory and assignment work is to be studied at home. Assistance is available during practical sessions and by phone any time. Theory work may be accessed on-line via email. Hard copy booklets are available .
Seminars for practical modules are conducted in QLD Regional areas every 5-8 weeks (currently in Rockhampton, Maryborough, Sunshine Coast and other areas when needed). Seminar schedules are planned 6 months ahead for your convenience. It is the students responsibility to meet their own travel and accommodation expenses for these seminars.

QLD Regional Studies began in 1994 as a small college with just two correspondence students. It was a dream to make professional training available to all especially in the regions.
The end result of beauty therapy training is the rewards in an industry that helps client's skin , body and often their self esteem with it! Our high rate of graduate placement in salons and opening their own business are the greatest reward for effort by both students and staff.
Being a small training organisation you'll get to know your tutors and fellow students very well. This provides you with much support during the course and we have seen many of our graduates work together in the industry.
